Cannot get a valid file upload

Dec 1, 2010 at 4:00 PM

I had some existing 3.0 silverlight code that uploaded fine.  However, after upgrading to 4.0 it doesn't work. So I went searching and found your solution, which gives me the same behavior.

The FileInfo object created by the OpenFileDialog always returns a security exception on everything but the File.name property.  This, of course, stops your application from passing the object as a stream.

Is there some setting that I am missing?

It sounds machine related. Can you try to reproduce the error on a different browser / different machine?

Maybe that's not the problem. This site says the security exception only happens when debugging:

Try setting the debugger a little further in code, maybe something else goes wrong?

I've tried two machines, and while not debugging (I am getting that exact error, and found that post as well).

Fun... not really, but sarcasm treats me well :-)
